Music touches the heart - especially at funerals, memorial services and other ceremonies which
honor life transitions. The universal language of music is calming, healing, and unifying as people gather together. Vocal solos and singing enhance a service and provide a wonderful tribute to a loved one. When we are dealing with overwhelming grief, music has the ability to soothe and comfort us. Many times, the lyrics of a song summarize how we are feeling better than we are able to say it ourselves.
The union of the rich, warm and soothing quality of Kaleo’s voice with the songs that she sings celebrates with deep reverence and respect the death of a loved one and gives comfort to their family.
Kaleo can work with the musician of your choosing, such as an organist/ pianist, or she can sing a cappella. She can also perform a selection of songs with the accompaniment of a small harp or with CD instrumental tracks. Her repertoire includes familiar songs and hymns as well as special songs that
provide peace and comfort far beyond words.
There are different program outlines for different services that you can follow when selecting music. These vary depending on the location and type of service. Your location can provide a planning outline to assist you.
"Your voice brings forth angelic energy when you sing. The angels rejoice all in the heavens." -A. Miller
"Kaleo wove a tapestry of healing chants and dances during the Memorial and Celebration of Rio's Life." -Daniel Watson
