What is this thing called Huna? How can it help you help yourself and your community? Why are psychologists so fascinated with the ways of the ancient shaman methods, and why are they beginning to apply them in modern practice?
Discover the magical ways of old Hawai'i for yourself. Understand the Huna methods of harmonizing energies between your mind and your relationships. Learn how to influence the forces of Nature for positive change in your physical experience Hawaiian Huna is about relationships —establishing and living in Pono (harmony) with all the parts in your life, beginning with yourself. It is what the Hawaiians call—”living the Aloha Spirit”. By applying the ancient principles of Hawaiian Huna, that's exactly what you can achieve. Huna offers a simple, gentle and practical path that allows you to have a more meaningful life by experiencing the joy of living a path of love, forgiveness, gratitude and blessing. It is based on the 5 acronyms from the Hawaiian word, Aloha - to be unassuming, to be in unity, to be kind, to be humble, to be patient and perseverant. It includes techniques from the Hawaiian Ho'oponopono , a gentle and easy form of conflict resolution for relationships, and the 7 Guidelines of Huna - which begin where the popular video and book, "The Secret", leaves off. It also uses their ancient form of storytelling through movement—their traditional hula. Hula helps us to deepen our understanding of ourselves, inspires us and elevates us from our present state. It is a celebration of the heart for the wonderful gift of life. Through it we can reconnect to who we are and to the feeling of moving with the flow and energy of nature. The traditional Hawaiian chant is also an important tool to help you to open to the love in your heart and to the interconnectedness of all life and all generations.
The Heart of Huna™ Halau Training Series has several trainings that include easy and fun tools to use in all aspects of your everyday life including: work, home, recreation, health and prayer.

- The Song of Aloha Sacred Sites Journey to Hawai'i
An opportunity to experience the beauty and power of the islands that embody “the Aloha Spirit”
Walk lightly on the 'aina (Hawaiian for 'earth') as you begin your experience of tasting the primal culture whose origins predate nearly all we know or have heard about. The ancient Hawaiian oral tradition talks about a huge continent, the remains of which are the tall mountains thrusting through the Pacific Ocean in the form of the Hawaiian Islands.
Some have speculated it is the ancient land of Lemuria. The earliest Hawaiian oral history talks about how their forefathers ventured out from their land into the eight directions and populated the rest of the world. After the ocean covered the huge continent that was their home, they came back to the land of their origins and joined with the descendants of their predecessors.
Song of Aloha™ Hawaiian Sacred Sites Tour May Include:
* Introduction to kupuna (elders) and kumu (teachers) who will spend time and “talk story” about the sacredness of the land on which they live and offer a plentitude of insight, wisdom and history
* A visit to an ancient temple (heiau)
* Visits to places of historical spiritual significance
* Visits to significant geographical locations such as certain mountains, valleys, beaches, places at the ocean, a stream or waterfall, in the desert, at a steam vent or near the volcanic flow.
The schedule for the trip is on the timetable of Spirit and the Heart - not early, not late, not cast in stone. The destination is always a sacred site. Sometimes it will be in the middle of the day, sometimes early in the morning or late at night. Sometimes you will spend only a few minutes at a site; sometimes you will be there for hours or even days. One thing that is usually true when working with Spirit is that what happens will rarely be predictable.
Hawaiian traditions have been passed down orally from teacher to student for millennia. Kaleo has had the opportunity to study and live with Hawaiian teachers who have shared some of this knowledge with her – especially from the lineage that is from Auntie Emma Defries. These are the traditions you will have an opportunity to live as you walk very lightly, following footstep by footstep and retracing the path of the ancient ones.
