Welcome and Aloha!

Pohala (pō huh luh) is a Hawaiian word meaning "to unfold, burst forth as the petals of the flower; to break free of confinement, to be free of contraints" .

Kaleo Wheeler is a gifted singer/performer, interpreter of song, a motivational speaker and beautiful dancer.  Her music is a range of different song styles from her years of experience as a professional vocal artist.  She customizes her concerts to the type of song style each group or audience resonates with.  It can include contemporary pop, standards of the 40's, 50's and 60's, musical theatre, and/or celtic music accompanied by a small harp.  She also has traveled extensively to Hawai'i where she has friends and family.  She has studied traditional hula and chant with several Kumu Hula (traditional hula and chant teachers) both in Hawai'i and on the mainland.  Her speciality is in traditional Hawaiian theme concerts and presentations - through sacred chants, Hawaiian songs, traditional hula and "talk story".

Kaleo also facilitates personal development trainings and workshops.  She can work with any group in helping them to better deal with the stress and anxiety that we are all experiencing today; and she specializes in women's issues and women's empowerment.  The message that underlies all she offers and the simple tools she shares in her facilitation work come from the Hawaiian tradition - from what they call "living the Aloha Spirit", a natural, gentle way of life that incorporates love, forgiveness, gratitude, blessing and harmony as a means of empowering us to live our best life by helping us to remember our own stories and our own personal sense of purpose and value.  In doing so, it can help us to remember that we are all one people one family—no matter what country, culture or background we originate from.
